Garcia is a bilingual  Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Associate  (AMFT #128657, APCC #10474), under the supervision of Dr. Shum, dedicated to making a difference in the community, and in the lives of those she helps. She has ample experience working with groups, individuals, and families who have suffered traumatic events, grief, sexual assault, depression, anxiety, and stress. When she worked for the City of Hope, she assisted populations who have experienced cancer, hospice, and death. While at a local non-profit, she worked with people who had HIV/AIDS. She works collaboratively with each client to tailor individualized plans and help them further in their growth and healing process. These groups in Spanish and English have covered topics like Resiliency and Advocacy for women, Grief and loss, Resiliency in Hard Times, Self-compassion and self-care for caregivers, Empowering Campeones para la Comunidad after lockdown, and recently, the Healthy RC Teen Wellness Academy.
