Research and Administrative AssistantBiography
Erika Orozco has been with Wholistic Health Collaborative for over a year as the current administrative assistant. She aspires to be a clinical psychologist working with people of all backgrounds and ages while focusing more on school-aged children. Erika has her Associate of Arts in General Psychology from Riverside City College and Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology from California State University San Bernardino; she looks forward to working on her graduate degree soon. Also, for over a year now, Erika has been a member of Dr. Shum’s research teams; one focuses on men’s mental health while the other focuses on community-based needs for families who have children living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Since she was a kid, Erika has wanted to join a helping profession. It was not until sometime after starting college that Erika was sure that she wanted to pursue clinical psychology – she saw a need in the field and wanted to help fulfill it. Erika hopes that no matter how minuscule the progress and with her most finalized approach of practice once she obtains her graduate degree, she can help motivate her prospective clients towards functional ways of being.
